1. General

Our Employee Assistance Program can be tailored to meet your company's needs.

A typical EAP may include the following:

Confidential employee counseling - your employees and their immediate family members can speak with one of our counselors on a confidential basis regarding personal or family problems.

Referrals - if we determine that more specialized or extensive services are necessary, we will recommend referral to additional service providers and monitor the assistance provided by the referral service.

Training - training to help management identify potential employee behaviors or situations that may necessitate EAP assistance

Seminars - open sessions to help groups of employees understand various issues that may affect their wellness, warning signs and how to deal with these situations. Note that while some seminars are included in the EAP, employers may wish to engage Employee Health Systems to develop other seminars for an additional fee.

2. Why does my company need an EAP?

According to a recent New York State Occupational Services Report, "...organizations are not immune to paying devastating costs, both financial and human, for the numerous personal problems that affect employees' job performance."

It has been estimated by numerous recent studies that work organizations across the United States are currently losing billions of dollars annually to employee alcoholism, drug abuse and mental health problems. This is evidenced through a loss of efficiency, deteriorated service, poor decisions, increased absenteeism and higher than average utilization of health benefits. Many personal problems can be resolved, but may call for professional assistance. Performance can be improved and valued employees retained. That's what our EAP is all about. Conservative estimates of sponsoring organizations, including unions which manage benefits for its members, show return on investment averaging from five-to-one, to as high as fourteen-to-one, for each dollar spent.

Employee Health Systems believes that an organization's most valuable resource is its employees. Without healthy and productive employees, it is difficult for an organization to achieve efficiency and profitability.
